We're in their home
This isn't just a dance retreat—it's a journey of self-expression, growth, and adventure. At the heart of this experience are four guiding principles that shape everything we do.
Life isn't meant to be controlled—it's meant to be experienced. By flowing with its natural rhythms—the calm and the chaos—we find strength, adaptability, and joy in the journey.
There's magic in every attempt, even the messy ones. Mistakes are invitations to learn, explore, and expand. When we let go of perfection, we create space for joy, curiosity, and endless possibilities.
The present is where transformation begins. By grounding ourselves in what's happening now, we cultivate clarity, intention, and gratitude. Focusing on today builds the foundation for a more mindful and abundant tomorrow.
True connection begins with honesty. By embracing our authentic selves, we create a space where others feel seen and valued. Together, we form a supportive community where realness is the ultimate strength.

hello@shufflehouse.coHere's the deal: it's hot. You're going to sweat. We're all going to sweat. It's part of the experience!
There's no washing machine here—we wash our clothes in sinks and hang them to dry. Most things dry within a day in the jungle heat. It's simple, it works, and honestly? It's kind of fun.
Pack lots, bring quick-dry fabrics, and embrace it. We're all in this together.
We've got you covered. There is infinite clean drinking water available everywhere on the property. Refill stations, water coolers, you name it. Stay hydrated—it's hot and you'll need it.
One thing to know: you can't drink the tap water (this is true everywhere in Mexico), but there's plenty of running water for showers, washing up, and brushing teeth. Just don't swallow it.
Bring a reusable water bottle. You'll use it constantly.
The food is incredible. It's honestly one of the main reasons we keep coming back to this location year after year.
Every meal is authentic Mexican cuisine, prepared fresh on-site by local chefs. You'll meet them, watch them cook, and leave absolutely stuffed with delicious, nutritious food.
Dietary needs? We've got you. Gluten-free and vegan options are available at every meal. We'll check in about food allergies and dietary restrictions before you arrive—it's a retreat, and we take care of our people.
Bugs. Insects. Spiders. Geckos. Yep—they're here. And that's exactly how it should be.
We don't kill them. We are in their home. They're all friendly (or at least indifferent to you), and you will see them. This is the jungle, and you'll be fully immersed in it.
Come prepared with bug spray—and use it. You'll want it for the evenings especially. Long pants and lightweight long sleeves help too.
This isn't a sanitized resort experience. It's real. It's raw. And that's what makes it special. When a gecko runs across the ceiling, you'll smile and keep dancing.
All workshops and sessions are conducted in English.
The retreat features a mix of electronic, house, and other upbeat genres, all curated by our live DJs. Get ready to groove to music that energizes and inspires!
We're fully prepared for any weather! While our workshops and activities take place outdoors, they are held under beautifully covered spaces designed to provide shelter from rain. The retreat continues seamlessly, rain or shine.

You'll be part of a larger shuffle community, and instructors often share resources or connect on social media after the retreat.
Absolutely, but please use it respectfully and ensure it doesn't disrupt workshops or other participants' experiences.
The retreat is designed as a full-week experience. Single-day participation is not available, as we want to preserve the immersive community atmosphere.
Yes! If you're sharing a room with a friend or partner, you can request to be placed together during the booking process. Simply let us know your preference, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

The cenote and pool are at the heart of the resort, easily accessible from all accommodations. You'll never walk far to take a refreshing dip! There's also a local cenote about 15 minutes away that's free to visit.
No, the tap water is not safe for drinking. However, you'll have access to more than enough bottled and filtered water throughout your stay. Water stations are conveniently located everywhere. We highly recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.
Alcohol is not provided at the retreat, and there is no on-site bar. However, you are welcome to purchase alcohol off-site and bring it to the resort if you'd like.
There are no laundry facilities on-site. Most guests wash clothes in sinks and hang dry—it's part of the jungle experience! If needed, you can request off-site laundry services for an additional cost.

Freestyle sessions are completely open and relaxed—a time to express yourself and connect creatively with others. It's a full-on vibe: shuffling, hanging out in the jungle, and soaking up the good energy. No rules, just a space to experiment and enjoy.
Yoga sessions are designed to be tranquil and grounding, providing the perfect counterbalance to the high-energy dance workshops. Whether you're a yoga regular or trying it for the first time, these sessions help reset your body and mind.
Your safety is our priority. First aid supplies are readily available on-site, and if necessary, we'll assist in arranging medical care. The nearest medical center is just 22 minutes away, and an on-call doctor can be reached within 15 minutes.
Comfortable and breathable attire is key! You'll be dancing and moving a lot (and in the jungle!), so bring plenty of clothes you can sweat in. Lightweight, moisture-wicking fabrics are ideal. Pack more dance clothes than you think you'll need!
Yes, participation in any filming or recorded sessions is completely voluntary. Just let us know, and we'll ensure your preferences are respected.
That's entirely up to you! You're welcome to explore if you want. Just keep in mind the jungle setting and plan accordingly. We'll have plenty of good energy right here, though—you might not want to leave!
Tulum operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Pack lightweight, durable luggage that can handle jungle terrain. A wheeled suitcase works for most areas, but a duffel bag or backpack may be more convenient. Don't forget a smaller day bag for excursions and waterproof bags for unexpected rain.
The local currency is Mexican Pesos (MXN). USD is widely accepted in tourist areas. For your retreat stay, cash won't be necessary since everything is included. But if you plan to explore Tulum during free time, have some pesos on hand for smaller purchases and tips.
